The Erie County Diabetes Association Bowl-A-Thon Raised $9,711.00. The 22nd Annual “Strike Out Diabetes” Bowl-A-Thon was held on Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Eastway Lanes, 4110 Buffalo Road from 2 to 5PM. Approximately 121 bowlers participated from middle schools, colleges, businesses and organizations. We even had some family teams. Thirty volunteers worked for this event.The Major Sponsors of the event were Edinboro University, Erie Housing Authority, PNC Bank, Erie City School District and Mercyhurst College. Many other businesses and organizations throughout Erie County contributed to the success of this event by being a lane sponsor or donating refreshments and prizes for the bowlers. ECDA is thankful and grateful to all participants for contributing their time, energy and financial support to make the Bowl-A-Thon a successful fund raiser for Diabetes. The 2005 ECDA Bowl-A-Thon is tentatively planned for October at Eastway Lanes. |
