Erie SeaWolves Fundraiser

The Erie SeaWolves have extended a special fundraising opportunity to the Erie County Diabetes Association! We are selling tickets to the Erie SeaWolves game to be played on Sunday, June 14th against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Game time is 1:05 PM. They are $6 and the ECDA will receive $2 for every ticket sold. Please call the ECDA office at 454-0715 if you’d like to purchase tickets.

2009 Walk for a Healthy Community

The 2009 Walk for a Healthy Community presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield is scheduled for Saturday, June 6th at Presque Isle State Park.

• Registration begins at 7:45 a.m.
• The 5K Walk begins at 9 a.m.
• The One-Mile Fun Walk begins at 9:15 a.m.

All registered walkers will receive a Walk for a Healthy Community T-shirt while supplies last. For every $50 that you donate to participating organizations, you will receive one chance for raffle prizes valued at more than $500.

There are three easy ways to register for the walk. To register online, complete the Registration Form at http://www.walkforahealthycommunity.org/erie/reg/form.shtml and click “submit” when finished. Paper registration forms are also available throughout the community. If you would prefer to mail a paper registration form to Highmark, but do not have one available, please call 866-620- WALK (9255) with your request. Or, you can register for the walk on the day of the event. Simply visit the booth of the organization you would like to support and register with a representative. Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m. All pre-registered walkers will receive a letter of confirmation. Even if you cannot walk, we appreciate your donation. Call us at ECDA to sponsor one of our walkers: 454- 0715. We also would be happy to help you register by sending you a paper form or assisting you with your on-line registration.

2nd Annual Swim across the Bay

Who: Presented by the Presque Isle Partnership in association with the Erie Yacht Club as a non-profit community event.

When: Saturday, June 20th 9:00 a.m.
